A: No. The crank is large, smooth, and easy to turn. Even 3-year-olds can do it with one hand. It builds wrist strength and coordination while they play.

Q: Do I need batteries?
A: Only if you want lights & sounds. The conveyor, push-and-go, and dump bed work 100% without batteries. So play never stops because of dead batteries.
